Penang

The dizen'd earth revolves,
The sun of Dharma has
In silence vanish'd, as
A drop of wine dissolves.

Rippling in purple dusk
The sea lies pale as jade,
While Jingling girls pervade
The atmosphere with musk:

---Voluptuous perfume,
O shadows that consume
A simple flame of joy...

---Divine indifference,
O dim gods mocking, whence
The earth twirls like a toy...
